Lingerie Washing and Management

Bra HygieneWe all know that lingerie is important. It’s an essential factor of our lives; it fuels our confidence and the cupid in our love lives. But, do we know what’s even more important? Its maintaining and organizing your bras and lingerie, buying is fun and exciting, not to meantion easy! Keeping your bras and panties in good condition is the hard part. But, it’s only hard when you don’t keep a regular check. It’s difficult when you don’t know how to “correctly: manage and maintain your bras. Please note the ‘correctly’ I used. The main problem that so many women face is that although they wish to maintain their lingerie, they do not know the right way to do so.

Correct Maintenance of Bras

When we talk about ‘correctly’ maintaining your lingerie what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? Surely every woman has her own different issue with maintaining her lingerie correctly, but, there’s one thing that every woman has been unsure of at least once in her life: How often should I wash my bra? This question has been the haunting of lingerie maintenance since probably the beginning of lingerie. Women are still pretty unsure about the number of times they should wash their bras. I mean, is there a set standard number of times that declare you’re officially a non-gross, clean woman?  Or, is there a specific wash cycle that your bra follows before you can actually say you wear hygienic lingerie?  After I disclose the right and more importantly ‘widespread’ number of times your bra needs to be washed you would no longer be worrying about your hygiene and cleanliness.

Bra Hygiene

Based on some of the largest run surveys and polls, the average woman washes her bra on a monthly basis. Monthly laundering has been a thing with bras since forever and it has never made women feel gross or unhygienic.

Although most women go with monthly laundering, it is better to start a weekly rotate system. Choose a few every day wear bras and rotate them throughout the week, this way each bra will only be worn 2-3 days at maximum before the next laundry day comes. The number of times you wash your bra can even vary with the season, the basic rule that you need to follow is: If you sweat more, wash more. For instance, you can have a monthly laundering system for your bras in the winters while in the summers you could have a weekly wash system. There is no set standard to define cleanliness, if your bra smells or is getting darker: wash it as soon as possible and you’re hygienic.
