Lacy Hint - European Lingerie

How To Prolong The Life of Your Lace Lingerie

Lingerie is an expensive investmeant, and finding just the right king for you and your body is not always an easy experience. However, that said, once you do find the right kind it can really boost your confidence, and heat things up in the bedroom. However, it’s important to wash your lacy undergarmeants carefully. After all, taking care for lace lingerie isn’t easy, especially if you don’t know the tricks that can keep your underthings looking new for longer.washing lace

Washing Lace Bras and Panties

The biggest mistake you can make when it comes to your lace lingerie is to wash it in the washing machine. Generally speaking, whether you have a stretch lace bra, a silky lace bra, a set of lace panties, or any other sort of lace, it is best to wash it by hand in cool water. In fact, all you really need is a colander in order to get lace underwear clean. A double rinse is all that’s really necessary. Once the lace has been washed, it’s best to let it air dry rather than to put it in the drier. The reason that hand washing and air drying is so important, is because of the relative delicacy of lace. If lace is thrown into hot water and washed in a washing machine it’s very likely to get torn up. Even cold water washes use too much force for lace to last very long. The same goes for a drier. Heat breaks down the molecular bonds in fabric, and it can lead to lace coming unraveled very quickly. If you still insist on machine wash, get a laundry mesh bag and wash lace lingerie with cool water. The bag protects the lace from the worst of the spinning and also for that reason you should avoid using drying machine at all costs. Let the lace air dry.

Look For The Signs

It is important to look for signs of wear and tear on your lace lingerie when you are washing it. If you can clip off unraveling threads before they get out of control, and if you can carefully wash the material itself then the lace will last a great deal longer than it might otherwise. If you use gentle soap or detergent as well, that will help preserve the lace too. The key with lacy underthings is to treat them carefully, otherwise they simply aren’t going to last as long as you’d like.
